Radek, what jobs can you get with a Computer Science Degree? I’m wondering, what can I do with a Computer Science Degree?
A computer science degree can send a graduate in many different directions, including: programming, systems development, network technology, software design, Internet technology, gaming, robotics, consulting, and even education.
A broad range of employers includes: software companies, manufacturers, retailers, banks, insurance companies, financial agencies, computer companies, schools, research institutions, and Internet service providers. And of course, all levels of government employ computer science graduates. Computer science majors often end up working for companies like Apple, Cisco, Google, Microsoft, and Yahoo. And of course, they also end up working for companies that you and I haven’t yet heard of. Either way, the employment opportunities are there.
In order to work as an actual computer scientist, you will likely need a Ph.D. For this and other reasons, many individuals who earn bachelor’s degrees in computer science choose to go on to graduate school.
